Nana Yaw Kumi popularly known as Kumi Guitar of ‘ Betweener ‘ fame also one of the still- standing signees of the embattled Zylofon media has laced up his boots to contest in upcoming NPP primaries in Akwatia.
The seat is currently occupied by Madam Mercy Adu-Gyamfi popularly known as Ama Sey, a hairdresser and a pharmacy owner who humiliated Baba Jamal of NDC in the 2016 primaries.
However, it a pleasant idea to have join some celebrity politicians like John Dumelo, KK Gosh etc on the front.
Ama Sey attained Middle School Leaving Certificate ( MSLC ) in 1998 with her popularity owing to her good manners.
She serves on the Committee of Employment and Social Welfare in parliament.
The emergence of Kumi Guitar, according to some delegates, Ama Sey could be going unopposed due to the weakness of Kumi’s popularity in NPP .
