Touch it crooner, Dennis Nana Dwamena better known as Kidi has lashed back at ‘Christian critics ‘ who think he doesn’t deserve the Artist Of The Year battle with the winner Diana Hamilton.
Kidi, on radio host Andy Dosty’s Daybreak Hits on HitzFm, complained bitterly of what he calls childish mentality between critics who condemned him for going head to head with a gospel singer for the Artist Of The Year crown.
According to him, after day 2 of the VGMA22 showdown, which saw him had four awards before losing the ultimate to Diana Hamilton, posts were describing him and his songs as not worth the challenge due to the genre of music he sings.
He lamented the evil stereotyping about circular musicians thereby saying, music is a job he does, and doesn’t make him an evil person.
Most Gospel musicians are the most hypocrites, they play ‘adom’ tracks at their events and when they are done they play “say cheese” and dance – he said.
