There is a hullabaloo on Ghanaian social media space after dancehall singer Shatta wale had 3 of his popular songs featured in a Spanish movie Black Beach which was shot in Ghana.
The back and forth of it wallows down to who is the biggest and the most sought after between the singer and his arch-rival Stonebwoy.
Well, after discrediting an industry guru Mark Okraku recently about his vote up for the position of Deputy Tourism, Arts And Culture minister, it has emerged that the latter pushed for the film which glory Shatta wale and his fans are claiming now – a clear evidence of biting the fingers that feed you.
This was revealed in a most recent post by Frank Kwabena Owusu, a HITZ FM host, and promoter who opened up on how the movie came about.

CONGRATULATIONS TO GHANA’s CREATIVE ARTS INDUSTRY
I recall in 2019, how I had sleepless nights, when the Spain’s film crew touched down in Ghana to find a location to shoot BLACK BEACH. Pressure from Mark Okraku Mantey
Through the Creative Arts Council, Ghana led by the abled leadership of Mark Okraku-Mantey, Bibi Bright and Gyankromah Akufo-Addo, I was tasked to;
1. Facilitate the clearing of their logistics & film equipment
2. Engage GRA and Customs to give them rebates on taxes
3. Coordinate with Ministry of Information – Ghana to get them ID cards and clearance to have access tourist sites and locations
4. Organize a cocktail party at The Gold Coast Restaurant & Cocktail Bar for Spanish Film Crew to engage with our Ghanaian film stakeholders.
Today, I’m glad the film is now available on Netflix that featured music by Ghana’s very own Shatta wale(shatta movement) plus some crew and extras from Ghana. Big thumbs up to Forreal, young Ghanaian who assisted the movie with Special Effects
Thanks to the Spanish Ambassador to Ghana Her Excellency Alicia Rico and the staff of Embassy of Spain in Ghana for making this project a reality.
Ghana🇬🇭 won!!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
