Kuami Eugene Backs Mark Okraku Mantey

The 2020 VGMA ‘Artiste of the Year’, Kuami Eugene has stated Mark Okraku-Mantey is the best choice for the position of Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture.

Speaking in an interview with Joy Prime’s Ibrahim Ben Bako, the ‘Showbody’ hitmaker stated that he believes Mr. Okraku-Mantey is one person who is abreast with the issues of the Creative Arts sector.

He said that the CEO of Slip Entertainment deserves to be given the nod to continue pushing the sector to the right destination.

“We all know Mark Okraku-Mantey, holding down the entertainment industry from way back before I grew up so I don’t play with Mark Okraku-Mantey, he has also done a lot, I mean Lord Kenya, Daasebre Dwamena chale, we all blow because of the man.

His comment comes after some industry persons including radio show host, Ola Micheal, music producer Hammer and Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale expressed their displeasure after rumors spread that Mr. Okraku Mantey may be chosen as a Deputy Tourism Minister.

Others, on the other hand, some industry folks are campaigning vigorously on social media to ensure that the astute music producer and marketing executive is appointed to the Tourism, Arts, and Culture ministry.

Kuami Eugene stated that it is essential for all persons in the industry to throw their weight behind Mr. Okraku Mantey explaining that his appointment will help the sector massively.

“What is best than having someone that understands you more to be in a position where you can go seek help. It’s my prayer and let’s all support him to get the position,” he added.
