The Electoral Commission (EC) has said it has extended the timeline for the declaration of the 2020 presidential results as earlier scheduled.
According to a statement from the EC, it has changed the timeline “to ensure the collation of results at the Constituency and Regional Collation Centres across the country is accurate.”
The EC said it will later communicate the new timeline for the declaration of the 2020 presidential election as and when it resolves the teething problems plaguing the collation of results across constituencies.
This comes in contrast to an earlier statement from the EC when it said it will be announcing the 2020 presidential results at 5 pm.
