The WMI is unique in its way of executing its plans by tackling the root of the problems facing the developing world. To achieve this, their approach is based on Local Leadership [ supporting leaders rather than implementing top-down solutions], Global Peer-To-Peer Collaboration [ bringing talented, resourced, and committed leaders leading in isolation together through education, etc], and Building Sectors [ building local leadership in high-need sectors- such as health, education, and the environment so that WMI Scholars can bring badly needed resources to under-served regions and communities.
