46 years old African-American man George Floyd died on Monday after after a police officer pinned his onto a pavement in Minneapolis, USA.
The death which can be termed murder triggered an explosive protest in Minnesota after a video recorded live by a bystander went viral on social media prompting the firing of the said police officer 3 other teammates who were identified as Derek Chauvin, Thomas Lane, Tou Thao and J.Alexander Kueng.
Sympathizers demanded the officers be charged with murder “ They treated him worse than they treat animals” Philonise Floyd, George Floyd’s brother said to CNN.
The gruesome murder of George Floyd has added up to the tall list of blacks who have died untimely in America ‘unarmed’ and has no justice rendered for their lives lost. From Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri in 2014 and act has become a hot button in the US.
The death George Floyd sparked reactions from some popular African American celebrities and social media icons who kicked hardly against the act and condemned it.
Meekmill has condemned the dreaded act in a pool of tweets after the video went viral edging other blacks to speak up if they are not racist.
