Nana Addo’s Year Of Return initiative has seen a great success after report of a billion dollar plus has been generated from only tourism alone.

In December, the president made an unofficial announcement of a follow up o the Year Of Return dubbed Beyond The Return.

He therefore revealed Ghana will continue the Beyond The Return in 2020.

As a way of welcoming the idea from the President, Ghana’s ambassador to USA Baffuor-Adjei Barwuah hosted a private party to say good-bye to the Year Of Return.

One-Village-One-Dams Dried Up After A Week Of Harmattan.

Few of the dams constructed under the One Village One Dam Project by the ruling National Patriotic Party dried up after just one week of Harmattan in the Northern Region

506 sites have been located for the construction of the earth dams in the Northern Region, Upper East and West, North West and Savannah Region with a total budget of 250,000.00 GHC each according Mrs Koomson. MP for Awutu Senya East.

‘….this is the deal for the communities in five Northern Regions and we serve them under all circumstances…” she added

The dams which are reportedly up to various stages of completion were all dried up after only one week of harmattan leaving the users in total frustration.

It was later disclosed that pictures of uncompleted dams are that are circulating are of those taken two years ago at the beginning of the project.

Pictures of one Nakpachei dam all dried up into the bare earth got the government to say this

However Mrs Koomson revealed that every government’s plan always encounter difficulties during implementation but this government is on course to fulfilling its promises.

In only Upper East, 83 of the dugouts out of 150 are being constructed up to various levels of completion but are all facing various challenges.

Nana Akuffo-Addo Gives Hope To Ghanaians.

President Nana Akufo-Addo is hopeful that the nation will arrive at higher statures in 2020.

In his New Year message for Ghanaians, he asked all to embrace a frame of mind that will advance free and reasonable election this year.

He accepts the nation will accomplish a lot if work and assurance are put first, if all Ghanaians put their shoulders to the wheel.

“2020 vows to be a decent one in light of the fact that there is a developing feeling of certainty that, with hard work and assurance, the nation will accomplish a great deal,” in said a tweet, Wednesday.

President Nana Addo encouraged Ghanaians to act in such a way, that will guarantee free, reasonable and straightforward election during the December 2020 races.

“We will hold in December the eighth general election throughout the entire existence of the fourth Republic… that will empower the Ghanaian individuals to pick, in harmony and peacefulness, the individual and people who will deal with their issues for their sake,” he said.

President Akufo-Addo likewise communicated trust in Ghanaians as he expressed that Ghanaians will meet the challenge at hand during the election and strengthen the status of Ghana being the reference point of democracy.

“Ghana will make it and on the whole, we will verify our prospects,” he said.

He further wished all Ghanaians a Happy New Year in the interest of his better half, kids, and other family and asked for God’s favors for the nation.

Western Togoland Recruits About 2000 Military Personnels

The ‘Western Togoland’ has reportedly recruited a group of young men and women who are believed to be the military personnels of the ‘country’ amidst all difficulties to separate the Region from Ghana.

A facebook post dated December 14 has a group of young and enegertic men in soldier-like attires with a caption ‘ long live Western Togoland …. military men and women passing out ceremony, hurray!!!’ 

With another as ‘ ..ongoing passing out ceremony of about 2000 Western Togoland military men and women from the Gorilla Military School… long live Western Togoland … long live our motherland.

According to the post, the supposed military personnels has passed out on the 14th on this month through the school called the Gorilla Military School.

No one knows their duties yet but we keep our fingers crossed for more info about their duties.

Just some few weeks ago, the separatist leader and his cohorts were arrested for declaring the Region as an independent body from Ghana. An event that took place took place at Ho on Saturday 16 November.
