Pastor Stabs Wife To Death, Killed Himself During Church Service.

A pastor stabbed his wife and slaughter himself during a church service leaving the congregation in the a great shock in Mombasa, Kenya.

Pastor Elijah Misiko, co-founder of the Grounds for God’s Gospel Mission killed his wife who is also a senior pastor called Ann Mughoi two times during prayer and when he realised the wife is dead, he stabbed himself three times in the stomach before cutting his throat.

According CNN reports retrieved from a local police, Pastor Elijah had hidden the knife in one envelope he brought to church, during the service, he walked to the wife as if to whisper in her ears.

“….”He walked up to his wife while the church was praying as if he wanted to whisper something to her. Then he took one of the knives and stabbed her (wife) two times.

He believed she was dead. He then stabbed himself three times in the stomach and slit his throat,” the Mombasa sub-county police commander Julius Kiragu said…”

Pastor Elijah died on the pulpit whiles the wife died at a local hospital after some hours.

The couples are reported to have been fighting over the ownership of the church.

One-Village-One-Dams Dried Up After A Week Of Harmattan.

Few of the dams constructed under the One Village One Dam Project by the ruling National Patriotic Party dried up after just one week of Harmattan in the Northern Region

506 sites have been located for the construction of the earth dams in the Northern Region, Upper East and West, North West and Savannah Region with a total budget of 250,000.00 GHC each according Mrs Koomson. MP for Awutu Senya East.

The dams which are reportedly up to various stages of completion were all dried up after only one week of harmattan leaving the users in total frustration.

It was later disclosed that pictures of uncompleted dams are that are circulating are of those taken two years ago at the beginning of the project.

However Mrs Koomson revealed that every government’s plan always encounter difficulties during implementation but this government is on course to fulfilling its promises.

In only Upper East, 83 of the dugouts out of 150 are being constructed up to various levels of completion but are all facing various challenges.

7th January Is Now A Public Holiday. Constitution Day.

According to Interior Minister Ambrose Dey, the day ” has been declared a public holiday o mark  a constitution day”.

Tomorrow 7th is now a public holiday. All Ghanaians are to honour this day as statutory holiday throughout the country.

“…the public is hereby informed that Tuesday, 7th January which marks Constitution Day, is a statutory holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country..”

In December 2018 a bill was laid before Parliament to alter the Public Holiday Act 2001 to accommodate three more holidays.

These new occasions were seventh of January which was seen as the Constitution Day sooner in 2019, fourth of August which was depicted as the Founders’ Day and 21st of September was set apart as Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Day.
