Another tongue of fire spotted at another Ghana Revenue Authority Office in Accra after barely getting done with that which ravaged the office on Ring Road.
Just few weeks ago, fire visited the GRA Office annex at Ring Road near Circle in Accra, from nowhere. It took fire fighters almost seven hours to kill the fire left the top floor of the building in shambles.
Yesterday was the turn of the office located in Madina.
Some witnesses saw smoke coming from the building in the morning around 7 am at Zongo Junction.
“… minutes after we saw the flames coming out, we saw some people running from the building.” a hawker narrates.
Sources were told the fire sparked in the server room , where all record keepings are done. But it was quickly doused before it could get to other offices.
No damage was caused as it was manually quenched before the fire experts arrived.
It was explained that faulty cables were the cause as they stripped on each other and sparked the fire.”
…2018 was the year of burning markets in Ghana, perhaps this year is for burning GRA offices.” one concerned citizen.
