A middle aged woman and her two kids have been reportedly burnt to death at New Takoradi, a suburb of Sekondi Takoradi, in a fire outbreak.
According to an eyewitness, residents saw fumes coming from the house in which the woman and her family live around 8am on Friday and rushed to put off the fire.
He said the assemblyman for the area called officials of the Ghana National Fire Service while the residents fetched water and sand to put out the fire.
The residents had no idea that the woman and her two children were trapped in the room.
She was said to be bathing her 1 year old and 8 months old children when the fire started.
The eyewitness said that deceased’s scream may have been shutted by the bustling and shouting the residents made when putting out the fire.
The residents realized the woman had been trapped on the room with her kids when the Fire Service officers arrived to investigate .
The 30 year old woman was reportedly cooking while bathing her children, which makes some people suspect that may have started the fire
The bodies have been deposited at the morgue.
