Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship Grants 2022/2023

The rotary foundation supports their scholarships, humanitarian projects, and vocational training – which a group of professionals travel to teach local professionals about their fields or learn about themselves – through the foundation’s global grants.

The Rotary Foundation Global scholarship grants for development supports or funds graduate-level course work or research projects for one to four years to peace and conflict resolution.

Brief Description Of Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship Grants

Study Level: PhD Degrees / Masters

Institution: Rotary Foundation

Study In: Any approved university in a country where there is a Rotary Club or District outside the applicant’s home country.

Field Of Study: A graduate level research work or course work in one of Rotary’s six areas of focus; Disease Prevention and treatment, Water And Sanitation, Basix Education And Literacy, Economic and community development, Peace and Conflict Prevention.

What Does The Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship Grants Cover?

The global fund has a minimum of $30,000 and a maximum World Fund award of $400,000 which covers full tuition, passport/visas, Inoculations, Travel expenses, school supplies, room and board, household supplies, Language training courses [ but not if the chosen university has a contingent plan on the improvement of language skills ]

Eligibility Requirements Of The Rotary Foundation Global Scholarship Grants

To be eligible for the global grants funding, refer to the scholarship page of the Rotary Club or district where you intend to apply and make sure your research work or coursework proposal:

1. Respond to real community needs.

2. Is aligned with the Rotary foundation’s mission.

3. Align with one or more of Rotary’s focus areas.

4. Is sustainable: The community where a project is carried out must be able to continue to address its needs after the grant funding is spent.

5. Is measurable: Sponsors select standard measures from the Global Grant Monitoring and Evaluation plan supplement nad add their own measurements.

6. Involve active participation of Rotary club members

Refer to the terms and conditions section for more eligibility requirements for global grant funding. Note: Your Rotary club or district must submit your application to the Rotary Foundation by June 30th for scholars who will begin studies by August, September and October.

Application Instructions

Interested applicant should contact their local Rotary clubs via Rotary Club Locator to inquire about how to be sponsored for the grant.

Applications are submitted online. The sponsor clubs or districts create the initial application and the scholar candidate completes the scholar profile online. Global grants scholarship applications are accepted throughout the year but applications must be submitted at least 3 months before the scholar’s intended departure.
