There’s a photo fast trending on social media that captures the very moment former President JJ Rawlings ‘humbled’ himself to ruling President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
In the photo, the founder of the NDC party clasped his hands and slightly bent down in a humble posture as he conversed with Nana Addo.
OPINION
Former president Jerry John Rawlings ‘humbling’ himself to a ruling president is no big news. But it is in this case because, this is the opposition he seems to be against until his recent patriotism swing which started from the time of late president Mills’ administration.
Sourcing from a lot of places, Rawlings is no more happy by the way things work in the party he founded and fought hard for. Even with that notwithstanding, he still believes the NPP lured his party NDC into corruption. But l ask, would you crucify your son just because he’s friends with neighbor who is your long time enemy? I’ll say NO. But that seems to be the case of ex-president Rawlings and wife since 2011 when they handled NPP campaign weapons against Mills.
Is there something the NDC has to learn from the NPP political party? or as the saying goes, you can’t knock the person who’s got your fingers in his jaw unless you want to loose them.
A trusted friend was told me, … I have the key to your dirty secrets, so you’d better support me in mine too or the world hears of both us. There and then, my mouthiness died.

Comments gathered on social media indicates that a lot of people are impressed with how JJ upon all his power and charisma still showed respect to Nana Addo.
“These two giants never cease to impress me, wonderful leaders drawing a clear line between field work and normal life situations”, one Facebook user wrote.
