Information gathered by globecalls.com indicates that some health workers who are supposed to conduct the COVID-19 test for free are charging some ridiculous fees.
It was a national call for everybody to get tested until the arrival of the AstraZeneca vaccines from the COVAX facility in India.
While that sounds like a relief to the ever-rising number of COVID-19 cases in Ghana, only some number of citizens will get themselves vaccinated per the number of vaccines received by the nation.
A situation that chanced many Ghanaians who would like to know their status before taking the jab into hospitals for the test.
However, a man named Panji Anoff has alleged that some health workers have taken the test as ‘cocoa season’ to make gains, charging as high as 300 to 500ghc depending on your status.
