Anesthetic / ICU Consultant Job In St Helena.

St. Helena island, a British overseas territory filed with 50% black people in a population of 4,500, 1,200 miles from South Africa is lacking an ICU consultant hence a vacancy to be filled.

The facility is a fully resourced 28 bedded hospital focused on the preoperative preparation of surgical patients. Thereby, the need to provide these patients ( adults and pediatric) with anaesthetics. This will include general anaesthesia ( LMA or intubation), neuraxial blocks, and axillary plexus blocks. Note: Neonatal cases may also arise.

Aside from other certifications, the general responsibility of this position is to resuscitate and stabilize the emergency and ICU patients and transport acutely ill or injured, patients.

Requirements

• Good English
• A 7 years or more consultant level or senior specialist registrar position experience.
• GMC Registration or equivalent from European countries, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa.
