After emerging as the winner of the Mentor Reloaded, Optional King has set his eyes on using his talent to promote African culture.
Known for his energy and typical African display whenever he is on stage, Optional King has revealed that he is going to work tirelessly to put African and Ghana’s diverse culture on the map.
‘..I am just trying to promote the culture, not only the Northern culture but the Ghanaian culture. We are projecting Ghana and Africa as a whole. I’m representing Ghana,”He said in an interview with Rita Etornam Sey on TV3’s New Day.
Optional King beat tight competition from Chchiz, Myka and 3 other competitors and become the winner of the 2 bedroom house up for grabs.
Born Mohammed Lukman, the emotional Optional King couldn’t hold his tears after he was declared the winner of the competition beating the highly tipped Chichiz.
Optional King, apart from the 2 bedroom house, received a return ticket to Cairo, Egypt , 2 mastered songs and Ghc50,000 airtime on any Media General platform and some more other goodies.
When asked how the experience has been for him, the rapper who was beaming with joy and smile revealed that, ‘ it has been amazing journey, l have learnt a lot from this competition, how to socialize, how to write lyrics on my own and how to deliver’.
He was very grateful to his family , friends, judges especially Adina who mentored him and the people of Tamale for their support.
