Friday 31st July Declared A Public Holiday

To favor the celebration of Eid-Al-Adha in regards to COVID-19 safety protocols, Friday the 31st of July 2020 has been declared a public a holiday.

Minister for the Interior, Ambrose Dery, has signed a letter dated 24th July 2020 that indicates that Friday 31st July 2020 has been declared as a Public Holiday in Ghana.

The Holiday is to pave way for the celebration of Eid-Al-Adha.

The general public is hereby reminded that Friday, July 31, 2020 which marks Eid-Al-Adha, is a statutory Public Holiday and should be observed as such throughout the country.

The general public is advised to observe the safety protocols associated with the novel coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19), especially in relation to social events at public places.
