Western Togoland Recruits About 2000 Military Personnels

The ‘Western Togoland’ has reportedly recruited a group of young men and women who are believed to be the military personnels of the ‘country’ amidst all difficulties to separate the Region from Ghana.

A facebook post dated December 14 has a group of young and enegertic men in soldier-like attires with a caption ‘ long live Western Togoland …. military men and women passing out ceremony, hurray!!!’ 

With another as ‘ ..ongoing passing out ceremony of about 2000 Western Togoland military men and women from the Gorilla Military School… long live Western Togoland … long live our motherland.

According to the post, the supposed military personnels has passed out on the 14th on this month through the school called the Gorilla Military School.

No one knows their duties yet but we keep our fingers crossed for more info about their duties.

Just some few weeks ago, the separatist leader and his cohorts were arrested for declaring the Region as an independent body from Ghana. An event that took place took place at Ho on Saturday 16 November.

Watch: Oti Region Communities Endangers Their Lives On River With No Bridge

Natives of five villages in Dambai in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region are persuading the government to help prevent any future mishap by building a bridge to connect the farming villages to the Municipality.

The River Kegyakaburi that links the five communities has no bridge as residents struggle everyday in crossing it in getting around their daily activities.

People from Abongo, Tamanja , Pumpei , Yariga No 1 and 2 always cross the river to the capital Dambai for school, accessing health facilities and business by trekking through the river.

School pupils adopted a technique of holding hands when crossing the river so as to maintain balance in the running river whilst some older children take their younger siblings on their back.

Some pupils revealed that apart from the dangers in crossing the river, they always arrive at school late.

Meanwhile, the group of farmers in the communities have revealed that they always watch their farm products rot due to inaccessibility to market which is a hindrance to economic development in the cut-off areas.

They are therefore calling on the government to make it a priority to construct the bridge to connect the food-producing communities to the markets.

Missing Clinical Nurse Found Dead After A Week In Volta Region.

Yayrah Gbewordoh, a nurse who was reported missing about a week ago has been confirmed dead after his body was found in a river.

According to a close source, he was suffering from a minor high fever and when he left home on the 8th of this month, he was quite good as symptoms were somehow down, so he was believed to go for ‘nature’s call’ or toilet.

Mr. Yayrah who hails from Agbozume in the southeastern part of the Ketu Municipality, was an old student of University of Health And Allied Sciences, Ho. And was actively working as a clinical specialist at Royal Hospital, Ho, before his unfortunate demise.

Per speculations, some school of thoughts believed he has drowned himself in the river when the symptoms worsened whiles other have others have different views with no evidence.

 

In the late hours of today, news broke out after his dead body was found. With no trace to the cause of the death, it is 80% believed that he drown himself in the river
