Woman Dumps A Day Old Baby.

Unidentified woman has dumped a day old baby on the streets of Kuta opposite central mosque in Mina, Niger state.

A good samaritan by the name Fatima Adamu has saved a day old baby who was abandoned to die at the roadside on the 28th , without wasting much time she sent the baby to the closest Child Right Protection Agency [  Niger State Child Right Protection Agency]

According to Adamu the good samaritan, she was informed about the crying baby by some neighbors who were afraid to rescue the baby.

‘…At the point when I went to the scene, I saw individuals assembled at the scene where the infant was dumped and I ask and was informed that an unknown lady alighted from a car and dumped the child.

When l got top the place, everyone was hesitant to touch the infant, since no one saw the individual that dumped the infant with the exception of the kids that were playing outside the house that said they saw a lady dropped from a car and dropped something that was moving,” she expressed.

“It was the kids that promptly informed their folks yet before they could turn out the car had zoomed off with the lady which they immediately alarmed the area and everybody hurried to the scene.

I and a vigilante part that live in the region got the child and we both went to report the issue to Central Police Station. The cop on duty took the infant and vowed to bring the issue before the Child Right Agency that treats issues about kids and ladies and guarantee their welfare ,” she included.

 

In affirmation to the news, the cop on duty, Mrs Hassana Usman said the baBy was brought to the station by a woman and a vigilante group.

“…At the point when they went to the station with the infant, I saw the child hasn’t been shower after birth, maybe the mother just brought forth the infant and promptly dumped her.

I spoke to a lady that live near the station to help me with high temp water and I shower the child since she left under cold and was not progressing nicely, I needed to take her to the medical clinic on Sunday since it was end of the week and workplaces we’re shut. The baby has been under my care since that Saturday night that was brought to the station before carrying her to the Child Right Agency today,” she said.

 

Reacting to the incident, Mrs Mairam Kolo, Director General of the Niger State Children Right Protection Agency pleaded with the public to help in arresting the woman who dumped the baby with any info.

“We are begging anybody particularly those living around the region that know any lady who was pregnant and as of late conveyed over the most recent three days and hasn’t been seen with a child to answer to our office. This is to empower us recognize the mother and carry her to justice” she said.
