Globecalls.com has come across numerous reports about a soldier who shot a policewoman twice in the leg on a joint operation in Tema.
Apparently, the two were on ‘Operation COVID-19 Safety’ team deployed to regulate activities and enforce the lockdown directives by the President.
Mrs Francisca received two bullets in her leg and knee from a soldier whose identity is currently hidden, and she’s currently receiving treatments at Tema General Hospital.
The Tema Regional Police command has confirmed the incident saying; what we don’t know is why the military man did that. We are yet to get into that because words has it that there was no confrontation between the two.
Meanwhile, the policewoman is quoted to have said, the military man was standing behind her at the checkpoint and suddenly she heard a gunshot and the bullets hits her leg and knee.
Reports has it that the military officer has been withdrawn from operation and placed under military detention.
