After days in pursuit of the lady gangleader who murdered the ‘alleged’ witch Akua Denteh, she has been captured.

Glory be to God that the Ghana Police service has finally arrested the lead character seen in the video beating 90year old, Akua Denteh.

She was arrested at Kejewu Botor, a farming community in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.

According to a source, the arrest on Thursday followed a tip-off from members of the community.

The source added that police stationed around the area were immediately informed about her presence, leading to her arrest.

 

The 90-year-old woman in a video, was beaten for being a witch who was preventing rainfall in the community which she denied.

The video received a lot of condemnation from the general Public, calling on the Police too act swiftly to arrest perpetrators of the crime.

The lady who was seen in the video beating the old lady mercilessly, went into hiding after she heard she’s been searched by the Police.

However, there is a saying that you can run but you can’t hide as the police has finally apprehended her.

Currently, 10 suspects who were eyewitnesses of the incident are in police custody.

The unfortunate incident happened at Kafaba in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region.
