Akwaaba, a Ghanaian afrobeat song which was produced by Guilty Beatz featuring Patapa, Mr. Eazi and rapper Pappy Kojo got featured in Treadstone, an American series.
The Akwaaba song which was used as a theme song for the movie in the 5th episode of the first season which was released 12 November this year had a verse a from Patapaa as ‘ Ola le’ in his own terms.
The song was played in one of the episode’s that was shot in Elmina Castle in Cape Coast in Ghana.
The series made some major Hollywood characters trooping ino Ghana for some awesome scenes.
In one of the scenes, the character Tara Coleman which was played by Tracy Ifeachor went to a funeral and met some old friends dancing ‘adowa’.
The two friends later moved to a nearby bar and were served with a locally produced alcoholic beverages. Tara went back to Elmina where the castle was converted into a beautifu prison.
The entire Ghanaian scene lasted for 20 minutes with ‘Akwaaba’ song sounding from the back.
