A 9-year-old young girl, Oluwashikemi Ogunleye who gave a sum of N950 to Ogun State government as her own commitment to the battle against Coronavirus worldwide pandemic in the state, has been complimented by Governor Dapo Abiodun over her caring mentality.
The Governor made the disclosure while addressing writers at his Iperu Remo residence in Ikenne Local Government Area of the State.
While singling out the little gift from the youngest giver, Governor Abiodun said he was excited by the little yet critical gift from the little Oluwashikemi.
The Governor stated,
“I am especially excited by the little yet exceptionally critical donation from the youngest donor sp far, Oluwashikemi Ogunleye. She utilized our USSD Code to donate 950 Naira.
“Oluwashikemi, I am glad to be the governor of a philanthropist like you. You are indeed a symbol of giving of ourselves to ourselves, and the future we are building together. I call on others to come forward and bolster the battle against COVID.”
The Governor likewise took to his confirmed Facebook and Twitter handles to commend the young girl.
On his Facebook page, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun – MFR, the Governor said Oluwashikemi learned from philanthropists who have demonstrated that humankind stays intact.
He wrote,
“Not all superheroes wear capes. Little Oluwashikemi Ogunleye, who is our youngest donor so far, utilized the State USSD to donate 950 Naira to the Ogun State COVID-19 Pandemic Support Fund.
Oluwashikemi followed the steps of leading philanthropists that have demonstrated in our dear State so far that mankind stays intact.
“I am glad to be the Governor of a philanthropist .
“My own message to you, Oluwashikemi is to keep on being liberal. May Almighty God favor us through recuperation from this pandemic on the grounds of your kind heart.”
