AYOBA And MTN Hackathon
Calling all developers, innovators & start-ups to build everyday solutions for everyday people and businesses.
Ayoba is a messaging platform, with support for channels, payments, bots, and micro-apps. It is built in Africa for Africans.
Ayoba, together with MTN Ghana, is hosting a virtual hackathon from July to September 2021, for Ghanaian developers. The event aims to introduce Ayoba as a platform for developers and a SuperApp to third parties.
To win, registered teams or individuals from the virtual Hackathon will compete for a top spot and grand prizes at a 1-day Hackathon venue or a guided virtual participation platform.
Developers will have an opportunity to get creative and launch services through micro-apps.
Over two days, developers and start-ups will be given preview access to a developer sandbox environment. The teams will also have access to mentors providing tech, UI/UX and business support.
The challenge: Make creative use of the Ayoba platform to build services and solutions that meet the daily needs of Ghanaian consumers and businesses within three days.
After the three days of coding, teams will pitch their work to a panel of judges. The teams or individuals that develop the winning solutions will receive cash prizes of GHC 20,000 for the winner, GHC 10,000 for the first runner up and GHC 8,000 for the second runner up.
The top three winners will also receive complimentary co-working space at the MTN Ghana Head Office in Accra, as well as technical, marketing and development support from Ayoba and MTN Ghana, subject to the conclusion of a further agreement between these top three winners and MTN Ghana and Ayoba.”
