VGMA, Vodafone Ghana Music Award 2020 details of attendance and artists to perform on the day finally dropped.
VGMA 2020 has been affected greatly by the outbreak of the novel COVID-19, as gathering and other precautionary measures are put in place to curtail the further spread of the virus.
Due to this, board of the award scheme has released protocols to how the event will unfold on the selected date which 28th August to 30th August- coming weekend.
“The 21st annual Vodafone Ghana Music Award is scheduled to climax with a three day music celebration from Friday 28th to Sunday 30th August 2020. Dubbed the VGMA weekend, the event will celebrate our steep culture, vivacious music and iconic artitstes.
30 awards will be presented at two exclusive events on Friday 28th and Saturday 29th August at 8pm each night and on the 30th of August, the front line l workers of COVID-19 will be honored with VGMA COVID-19 concert, also starting at 8pm.
A galaxy of stars are billed to thrilled the million plus audiences with exciting performances. They include EL, Kidi, Kuame Eugene, Adina, Kofi Kinaata, Medikal, Kwesi Arthur, Akwaboah, King Promise, Eno Barony, Strongman, Celestine Donkor, Ras Kuku, Efya, Kofi mole, Episode and more.
Unlike previous years, there shall be no ticket sales. Attendance shall be strictly by invitation. However, music lovers can enjoy the VGMA weekend from the seat of the comfort of their homes by watching the live broadcast on TV3 in Ghana. Soundcity TV, Rok Ghana on DSTV and GOtv in Africa. And worldwide via the internet on MTVBase and Ghana Music Awards social media pages, 8pm each night. Read full release below.
