Two Arrested In Relation To The K!lling #fixthecountry Convener Kaaka Mohammed

The Ghana Police service has acted swiftly to the attack and murder of #fixTheCountry campaigner Kaaka Mohammed at Ejura in the Ashanti region. Arresting two suspects.

The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in the attack and murder of one Ibrahim Mohammed alias ‘Kaaka’ aged 45 and resident of Dagombaline, a suburb of Ejura in the Ashanti Region. The suspects are Ibrahim Issaka alias ‘Anyaas’ and Fuseini Alhassan currently in Police custody. Both were arrested at about 110:45 pm on Monday 28th June 2021 following police intelligence.

Witness accounts show that the deceased was ambushed in front of his house when he was returning home on his motorbike at about 11:30 amon 27th June 2021. He was rushed to the Ejura Government Hospital and later referred to Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where he died at midday 28th June 2021.

The police investigation will also extend to rumors that the deceased was a journalist and a member of the fixthecountry movement to ascertain if the murder was linked to his work or the movement.
