Nations Democratic Congress spokesperson Sammy Gyamfi has cleared waves surrounding his artistic cartoon of ‘George Floyd’s’ last words
The spokesperson came under a severe criticism after an attempt to express his politics dissatisfaction about the president’s lifting of restrictions by using late George Floyd’s final words before his gruesome demise.
It should be remembered that George Floyd was murdered by a white police officer who kneeled him on his neck. In the final seconds, he shouted ” I can’t breath, give me some water’.
Creatively, Sammy Gyamfi created an artistic cartoon to express himself but failed to get the public understand his concept.
After the strolls, the politician took to his social media pages to explain what he meant by the art.

…This cartoon doesn’t mock the painful xenophobic murder of George Floyd or seek to exploit same for political capital in any way.
Floyd was choked to death, while screaming for breathe.
In GH today, the Jean Mensah-led EC is seeking to disenfranchise millions of eligible voters through a xenophobic voter register. The potential victims of this grave injustice, are screaming for breathe. They are screaming for their inalienable right to vote.
Nothing wrong with sharing a cartoon which draws a parallel between the painful xenophobic murder of George Floyd, and the evil attempt by the GH EC to disenfranchise millions of eligible voters through a xenophobic voter register.
Injustice anywhere, is a threat to justice everywhere. This is a serious matter, not a joke.
