On another account, a different person in the person of embattled CitiTV reporter Caleb Kudah has confirmed the height of tribalism in Ghana.
There is no denial of the fact that tribalism has been in all areas of life in Ghana but it has risen to a higher extent since the President passed the bigotry comment of ‘we don’t trust ewes’ during his first term as president of this country.
Caleb Kudah on his account of what transpired between him and the National Security personnel revealed that he has to deny his ethnicity as an Ewe to prevent further torture from being mattered to him.
According to him, the National Security personnel asked him several ridiculous questions such as; how come he owns a car at a very tender age, his tribal backgrounds, his age, etc.
Quickly deciphering his fate based on tribal grounds, he has to lie that he is from Cape Coast – which saved him. Obviously, you don’t expect better when you have a leader that condones these acts.
Why does he have to deny his identity as an Ewe before he can be save?
