The Paramount Chief of Kpone, Nii Tetteh Otu II, has been spotted in a viral video walking out of durbar grounds which was held in honour of President Akufo-Addo.
At a sod-cutting event for the construction of a district hospital in the area, Nii Tetteh was unimpressed about the countless sod-cutting that was going on without any finished work. Nii Tetteh Otu II was furious when he saw the artistic impression of the project which Akufo-Addo came to commission because he taught it was a one-storey building.
In a video, the angry chief was seen throwing his hands and complaining bitterly to persons that were around him.
Try as they would, the chief did not budge to the plea by a police man, his council of elders and others to get him back to the durbar grounds. According to report sighted on Ghanaweb, a resident, Emmanuel Nortey, who was at the event, said the chief complained bitterly about how politicians have over the years deceived them over such projects. “The chief walked out on President Akufo-Addo after he noticed the project is not a one- storey building he was expecting,” he said.
He added that the angry Kpone chief even rejected an invitation by President Akufo-Addo for a closed-door meeting over the issue. The action from the chief has drawn some reactions from Ghanaians.
