Aspiring Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon John Dumelo organises free deworming exercise for over 100 kids in Mempeasem.
The exercise took place on 22nd August 2020 which got children getting dewormed with Wormbat-400
Deworming (sometimes known as worming, drenching or dehelmintization) is the giving of an anthelmintic drug (a wormer, dewormer, or drench) to a human or animal to rid them of helminths parasites, such as roundworm, flukes and tapeworm.
Deworming is usually recommended as part of public health intervention for children above one to 14 years of age to kill parasitic worms. Deworming pills such as Albendazole, Mebendazole or Zentel are usually given to children twice a year to enable the child’s body to absorb nutrients, vitamins and minerals easily.
He further promised of possibility of all the kids in the Ayawaso West to be deworm in the near future.
