Counting has been going on for some few hours now with no report on the result despite some unofficial declarations circulating with one contestants Agbeyome Kojo as the winner.
15 years in power, President Faure Gnassingbe is required to secure a fourth term – further broadening his family’s rule, which has endured more than half a century.
After changing the Constitution a year ago, another term could see him remain in power until 2030
