Some unidentified members of the two biggest political parties arrested during anti-galamsey patrol

The anti-galamsey force has affirmed the capture of five people corresponding to illicit mining at Akwatia in the Eastern Region.

Talking on Joy FM’s Newsnite Wednesday, the leader of the Special Monitoring, Evacuation and Operation Team of Operation Vanguard, Nana Yaw Boadu affirmed the captured people were subsidiary to the two greatest political groups.

Two of them are New Patriotic Party (NPP) individuals and three are the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) individuals, Mr Boadu, said.

He said tools, including excavators, were seized from them and they would before long be sent to Accra.
