Fish Stabs Boy In The Neck.

A needle fish pierced boy through the neck in Indonesian leaving him severely injured.

A 16 years old Indonesian boy had a horrible experience after a fish jumped from the sea during a fishing trip and pierced him through his neck .

The scary incident happened to Muhammad during a late night fishing trip with a friend  Sari.

 

The boys went out on sea in Button, everything was on course until Sari on his torchlight which triggered the needlefish to leap out of the water and attacked their predators.

The force and the thrashing of the fish knocked Muhammad off the boat into the water, he almost drowned.

Mohammed managed to get a full grasp on the angry fish, swam about 500 m to the sea shore by the help of his friend, with the fish stuck in his neck to prevent more bleeding.

After sprinting home from the shore, Muhammad’s father knew he has to take his boy to the hospital which is about 1 and half hours drive in Bau-bau.

 

Doctors at Bau-bau could only help by cutting the body  the fish away as they lack the necessary tools to remove the sharp needle-like peak of the fish from Muhammad’s neck.

He has to be transfered to the capital city where a group of 5 specialists spent more than an hour to remove the fish remains and closed the wound.

After 5 days, Muhammad is wholly healed with more zeal for fishing.

‘…I just need to be more careful next time. Needlefish can’t tolerate light – that was why it jumped out of the water and stabbed me,” the 16-year-old told BBC Indonesia….
