Ask Yourself These Questions Before You Sleep.

Have you ever lay down on your bed to flash over things that happened in your day before sleep? Or you just overlook them and think about the next day?

Bedtime is a tough time for many people. Thoughts and activities that keep our brain busy during the day subside leaving us with memories we don’t wish to see.

Sometimes, as you lay in bed, you reviewed things that have gone wrong in the day: The lie a friend told in your name, how your parents couldn’t trust you on that issue, the unexpected high bill you know you can’t afford.

With those thoughts in your head, you battled sleep. When you finally got carried away, you were fully ready for upsetting dreams and tensed muscles waiting for the next day.

It is good to examine negatives for insight and better solutions. But that is best done in the day when you still have time to conclude with positive boosting. Before bedtime is the worst time to do that because your body keeps that tension, preventing you from a healing sleep.

Before you sleep, ask these questions.

  1. What did l learn about myself ?

Each day brings chances to learn. Experiences offer feedback to guide you toward improvement. At bedtime, you don’t have to go deep on this but reflect on the lessons the day offered. If you realised that a pattern repeats, what are you doing in setting it up any other day, in what way are you encouraged?

You would realised a lot of your challenges reflected lack of confidence in your skills, poor planning. impatience.

2. What Good Things Happened To Me Today.?

If you fond of thinking about bad things. This is challenging. So take it very easy on yourself. Maybe you made a new friend who is very funny, your bestie made your day through something or your dog didn’t urinate on your doormat again.

As you continue this process, it is easier to find things to be grateful for. Hope , possibilities are nurtured by focusing on positive things.

Observing your thoughts and moving them and taking them from constant review of what is wrong to what is good always bring a high level of awareness of many goodies that fill your life. And gradually negatives weakens and you grow stronger.

3.How did l help?

Instead of what did l get today, ask what did l give today, this moves your focus to the people surrounding you. Anytime you do this , you see life as more cooperative and supportive. Have you ever bumped into someone on a single pavement and both of you say ‘ i’m sorry ‘ together? How does that feel even after you go down to help her/ him with her stuffs that got scattered around?

You will see a better version of yourself towards that particular person in that moment.

Sometimes it comes as in holding doors open for someone to walk through, sharing smiles with people. If your colleague workers are not going to change, do the good for yourself and feel good about the fact that you are that ‘cool’ person. You may be transforming someone unknowingly.

What Moves Took Me A Step or two towards My Dream Today?

Imagine you know your dad will ask you about what you learnt in school, you will listen in class and keep something in mind to tell him when you get home. This keeps you on track in this life where it is easy to be taken off-course.

If you keep your attention towards your dream, it influences everything you do thereby, you get satisfied and motivationally renewed. Having questions and answers to fuel your energy whenever you feel stuck on your path.

This always remind you to keep your focus and not to react to everything happening around.

What is the starting focus for tomorrow?

Having your mental framework set up helps the body to release more tension. Having a plan before getting out of bed kicks the day in the right direction because it is like continuing an assignment you are yet to finish.

You set yourself into the ‘ already-made’ mood with readiness. If you have an issue, think of yourself waking up the next day with the possible solutions for it. Your subconscious mind will look for possibilities as you sleep and help with answers when you wake up.
