How To Watch STARZ On PS4 All the things You Want To Know Up until recently, there used to be an app called Starz Play that allowed PlayStation 4 owners to easily stream their favorite Starz shows. Unfortunately, there is no longer a Starz app for PS4 consoles.
Despite this, there are several ways that you can watch Starz on your PS4. For example, you can do so through Amazon Prime Video, PS Vue, Hulu, Netflix, or On-Demand.
PlayStation Vue – DISCONTINUED
Starz is available on PlayStation Vue. The cheapest package costs $45. There’s also a free trial that will allow you to test the service without any commitment.
You also get more than just Starz with a subscription to PS Vue. Although, it’s on the expensive side when you consider your other options.
Amazon Prime Video
If you already have an Amazon Prime subscription then you can get Starz as an add-on. Then you can use the Prime Video app on your PS4 to watch Starz.
If you are a new Amazon Prime member you can sign up for a free trial and try Starz for 7-days as well. This allows you to test out two things at once. The good thing about it is that you can end the subscription before the trial period is up and you won’t be charged. It costs $8.99 to get the add-on.
Netflix
There are some original content and movies that are available on Starz that you can also stream through Netflix. For example, the first two seasons of the Starz original series Outlander is available on Netflix.
Hulu
If you’re a Hulu subscriber then you can get Starz as an add-on for only $8.99. Then, you only need to download the Hulu app on your PlayStation and start watching.
If this is the first time that you’re trying out the add-on you can opt for a free trial which you can cancel at any time.
Starz App
There is a Starz app but it is only available for Apple and Android devices. As such, if you already subscribe to Starz through your cable provider, you can download the app on a supported device (PS4 not supported).
Then, log in with your cable account or your Starz credentials if you subscribed directly through them. Depending on the device and method you may need to activate STARZ with a code before you can begin streaming.
Things To Note
There are a couple of things to note about signing up through third-party services. Signing up through Amazon Prime or Hulu restricts your choices in terms of viewing. You can only stream through those apps.
However, if you sign up directly with Starz, your cable provider, or PlayStation Vue you can use those credentials to log in to the Starz app or online at any time. The only cable provider that does not permit customers to do this is Comcast as they have their own streaming app.
