The USET Scholarship fund is the first one on our list of easy scholarships for Native American students. USET awards all their selected applicants: graduates and undergraduates an equal amount in any award period. In this article, you will learn how to apply for this fund.
But before that, what is USET? USET stands for United Southern and Eastern Tribes, Inc, serving 33 federally recognized tribal nations from the Northeastern Woodlands to the Everglades, across the Gulf Of Mexico.
The USET scholarship fund is available to students in the USET tribal area who are enrolled members of any of the 33 USET member tribal nations.
Eligibility Requirements For USET Scholarship Fund
1. A very satisfactory academic performance determines applicants’ scholastic standings.
2. Currently enrolled or accepted in any post-secondary educational institution.
3. Being a proven member of any of the 33 member tribes listed above.

Required Documents: USET Scholarship Fund
- Three letters of recommendation: Must be current and dated from June to January of the year before the Fall semester
- Verification of Tribal enrollment in one of the USET Tribal Nation
- A copy of the applicant’s high school transcript
- Letter of acceptance from college
College MUST be regionally accredited through one of the following:
o Southern Association of Colleges and Schools
o Middle State Commission on Higher Education
o New England Association of Schools and Colleges
o Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities
o North Central Association of Colleges and Schools
o Western Association of Schools and Colleges - Applicant’s Personal statement
For undergraduate applicants: 250 words minimum on any future goals, challenges, and obstacles overcome
For graduate applicants: 500 words minimum of future goals, reasons for attending graduate school, and obstacles overcome.
