Ghanaian BET Network Alumni Lilian Blankson Is Dead

Americaย  based Ghanaian author, producer, professor of English, and BET Network alumni Lilian Blankson is dead.

Lilian blankson is a known back bone and strong plug for most of Ghana’s rep and wins in the BET ( Black Entertainment Television ) as she has been with the network for over 20 years before her demise.

The news of the author’s death came through rapper Edem who tweeted the shocking news in honor of her and received shocking reactions.

She was born and raised in New York by Ghanaian parents.

She holds a BA in English, and an MFA & MA in Literature from Queens College, City University Of New York.

Previously an adjunct professor of English, Literature and African studies, she is also an accomplished writer who has written for numerous international publications and magazines. Her first book, Rain Love: Poetry & Portraits, has been sold throughout the US, the UK and Africa. Lilian is also an award-winning international television writer, producer and director with a successful and diverse career at BET Networks & BET International (Black Entertainment Television), and ViacomCBS networks, which spanned over 18 years.

Also serving as the President & CEO of LNB Entertainment & Productions, Blankson has operated an indie record label for a decade, and has remained a staple in African music, concert production, entertainment consulting and content and film creation. She lives in Gaithersburg, Maryland before her demise.
