Following a fatal collision with an articulated truck, the driver of a saloon car has passed away. The accident took occurred on the Teacher Mante New Town Community stretch of the Accra-Kumasi Highway.
The deceased was reportedly driving a Chevrolet Prizm with registration number GR 2698-16. He seemed to be heading in the direction of the Kumasi junction. However, upon making it to Teacher Mante, he attempted to overtake some vehicles and ended up colliding with a DAF XF articulated vehicle with registration number AS 5607-16. The articulated truck happened to be facing the opposite direction and was fully stocked with bags of maize.
The victim, as a result of the collision, was caught behind the steering wheel of the mangled vehicle in a pool of his blood.
