Less than 48 hours ago, Juventus star and Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo was put in quarantined after a teammate Daniel Rugani tested positive for the deadly corona virus .
Fears grew as many hope the footballer tests negative of the virus.
According to Daily mail, Cristiano Ronaldo has NOT been infected with the coronavirus despite being held in quarantine in his native Madeira, the president of the Portuguese islands has confirmed.
The Juventus superstar will remain at home while the fear of infection is still high, with Italy on lockdown.
Ronaldo visited his mother who is suffering from a mild stroke in his native Madeira before the news broke out.
Rugani was the first Italian player to have contracted the virus with Dybala also reported to have the virus – an information Juventus denied.
All Serie A matches are on hold until at least 3rd April, thus, Ronaldo will continue to stay in his hometown Madeira.
He is now unable to return to Italy due to strict mobility restrictions across the continent.
