MTN Hitmaker ninth edition of the popular annual television music reality show, came to an end today November 28, 2020, and Adepa was declared the winner of the competition.
The show that spanned weeks and weeks came to an end when the top four contestants were shortlisted for the final show which was hosted by Rev Erskine and Sika Osei.
The top four contestants were: Adepa, Kobby Tuesday, Gabinova and Achiaa. These individuals proved their worth and showcased their distinct singing abilities on the final night with an inherent aim of walking home with the much-coveted prize of winning the competition.
The judges for the MTN Season 9 grand finale were: Kaywa, Eazzy, Okyeame Kuami and Richie Mensah. Former winners and participants of the competition like KiDi, Kuami Eugene, Mr Drew, Yaw Berk etc were booked to perform to the attendees who were seated with strict adherence to COVID protocols.
At the end of the competition, with all votes counted and the per the decision of the judges, young female singer Adepa was declared the winner. She walked away with a whopping Ghc120k as prize money and a one-year recording contract and other souvenirs from the sponsors.

Beatmaker Mix Master Garzy was also declared the Beat Maker of the Season for his spectacular work. He received Ghc10k in prize money and a plaque to serve as a testament for his effort.
